Instructions for Authors

AJEL welcomes contributions from both Asia and the rest of the world, provided the content is of some relevance and interest to the Asian region.

The preferred format for contributions is Microsoft Word and A4. UK English is also preferred as this saves time in editing from other forms of English. While there is no page restriction, 8 - 12 pages is considered the optimal length, including illustrations. Tables and figures should be inserted at the relevant point in the text. Full colour illustrations are welcome, although we would prefer authors to size these accordingly in order that the total file is not too excessive for transmission and downloading over the Internet.

The preferred font is Times New Roman, 12.

Please do not insert page numbers, line numbers or headers or footers. For a guide on how references should be quoted and listed, please view one of the articles already published.

All papers must be original work. In the case where the paper, or a similar paper, has already been presented at a conference, this should be stated clearly. Copyright remains with the authors.

Contributions are only accepted as files attached to email. The email itself should state the name and email address of the author for correspondence. Receipt of all contributions is acknowledged.

Following editing and review, authors are notified of publication by email and may download their contribution in PDF format from this web site. No printed version of papers will be sent to authors.

AJEL adds select items from our content to a number of databases, including GetCited. This is undertaken as a service to our contributors to ensure wider readership and enhance citation possibilities.
